REFERENCES:
We cant reiterate enough that unsuitable references are the main cause of applications being kept on hold! It is important this unnecessary delay is reduced. Camp America is very strict on reference requirements. References failing to meet all of the requirements will not be accepted.
There are three official
Camp America Reference Forms available for use by applicants who cannot obtain a
detailed written reference.
Open Character Reference - can be used by all applicants
Skills Reference - can be used by Counsellor, Campower and Resort applicants
Childcare Reference - can be used by Counsellor applicants only
The Camp America Skills and Childcare References are designed to help Referees in two ways; firstly to provide them with programme information so they can give an informed reference, and secondly to guide them in the type of information we require.
If you are having difficulty obtaining a written reference, download the appropriate form, print it, give both pages to your Referee and ask him/her to complete and return it to you as soon as possible.
