KINGFISHER CAMP Accommodation is on property at our rustic but comfortable Kingfisher Camp, located close to two small dams with resident crocodile and hippo. Kingfisher provides single sex accommodation in four shared A frame thatched bungalows. By mid 2005 we plan to have two more accommodation units built plus a small swimming pool. Bathroom and toilet facilities are located between two bungalows so they are not quite en-suite!
Bedding is provided plus a laundry service all at no extra charge. When out camping either on or off property all tents and camping equipment is provided. Please remember that this is a bush camp. There are no telephones, televisions or internet facilities at Kingfisher Camp. For emergencies our nearby Gazebo Lodge has phone and fax facilities and there is fortnightly e-mail access in town on your days off (with transport provided).
Eating and drinking might be important to you. We guarantee you will never go hungry! Three good meals per day are provided plus snacks and drinks (non alcoholic variety!)
Your Rangers do most of the cooking outdoors over a fire with participants expected to assist in food preparation and to do a spot of cooking now and again. The camp has a traditional boma for eating under the stars plus a thatched lapo for inclement weather and shelter from the sun. Breakfast is kept simple with cereals, toast and spreads, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Packed lunches will be provided during the day (if you are out in the bush). We can deal with most special dietary requirements if given plenty of notice.
A small pay bush bar and pool table is available in the evening. See what previous participants have said - click here.
