| Question: |
If I advertise, how long will it be before I can expect an increase in visitors to my site? |
| Answer: |
|
| This venture has to be self-financing and so we are not going to spend vast amounts on advertising the 'SHOWCASE' until we have something there that visitors will wish to see. The speed at which your website traffic increases is partly determined by you. If you decide not to advertise, then you do not add to our budget to advertise the 'SHOWCASE'. Our aim is to utilise a high percentage of the income from the initial advertisers to provide for Google Ad-Words and paid inclusions in an effort to ensure that the 'SHOWCASE' features high in the search rankings. The more advertisers that are excited by using this innovative form of advertising - the quicker that all advertisers should see an increase in their website traffic. |

| Question: |
Surely this is just a copy-cat of the original? |
| Answer: |
|
| Yes, of course it is - but with some specific differences and anyway, imitation is best compliment. Those visiting sites that have advertising from anyone and anywhere may only click a link out of curiosity, not because they are genuinely looking at that product or service. The 'SHOWCASE' is seeking advertising from specific types of organisations. Therefore, the majority of people who view the page will be looking for something connected with a GAP Year Experience and are more likely to explore the links with a purpose. |

| Question: |
We have a successful website, why should we advertise on the 'SHOWCASE'? |
| Answer: |
|
| What is success? It might be having 200,000 visitors, but it would also be classed as success if you had 400,000 visitors. Success is based on your expectations. Our aim is that when a person is seeking to find a GAP Year Experience or a service to support their Experience, the 'SHOWCASE' will be the first place that they look. We know that students and young people spend hours using the Internet and making search queries. Pixel advertising is still in its infancy and still has the 'curiosity factor' - many will visit because it is different and then they will find that they have a huge choice of programmes, services and opportunities all on one page. It has been said that 'all publicity is good publicity' and this is especially true when it is 'low-cost'. Advertisers on similar sites report a huge increase in visitors. If, as we hope, the 'SHOWCASE' becomes the 'first-stop' for those seeking a GAP Year Experience - can your organisation afford NOT to be featured? |

| Question: |
Why is the cost of a BLOCK only US$45? |
| Answer: |
|
| As a business, we had a number of factors to consider. Many of the organisations that we hope to attract are small and unique and as such, do not have huge advertising budgets - but the project that they offer is worthwhile. By setting a high Block Rate we would be excluding them from the 'SHOWCASE'. If we set the rate too low, we would be unable to cover the projected 5 year running costs or, as has been considered for the future, offer reduced rates or free advertising to charity organisations. As well as web hosting costs, we also have to budget for equipment, staff and advertising. |

| Question: |
Why, if you are a UK Company, are all your costs in US Dollars? |
| Answer: |
|
| Whilst we are proud of the great British Pound, we aim to encourage organisations based around the world to advertise on the 'SHOWCASE'. We decided that as the US Dollar was more widely used than the British Pound, we would adopt that currency. Through PAYPAL, we can accept payment in your currency. |

| Question: |
What is the purpose of the 'SHOWCASE'? |
| Answer: |
|
| With the advent of 'pixel advertising' as pioneered by Alex Tew (a British University Student) and the current interest in such sites from the media and Internet Surfers, we decided to establish the 'SHOWCASE' that would, in effect, fulfil our aim of being a comprehensive, one-stop source of GAP Year Opportunities. |
