WHO CAN BUY OUR PIXELS?
Not everyone! Unlike the original 'milliondollarhomepage' that accepted
advertising from anyone and anywhere just to sell space, we have decided that
our page should be for a specific purpose. The aim is to make this the
'one-stop' page for young people seeking an experience overseas.
- ADVANTAGE: By being selective, we can
be more confident that visitors to the page are actually looking for
something that is likely to be found there. Advertisers can therefore
justify the expense as a long-term investment.
- DISADVANTAGE: Many of the
organisations that offer some really excellent projects and services to the
GAP Year traveller have limited budgets. Therefore, we have to expect the
page to grow at a steady rate, rather than 'overnight'.
So, what types of organisations are we
hoping to include? The advertiser must be an organisation that provides a programme,
project or service that would be suitable for an 18-35 year old who wished
to expand their horizons through travel. For example, the organisation may
provide:
- Volunteer Projects
- Cultural Exchanges
- Language School and/or Courses
- Volunteer and/or Teaching Opportunities
- Internships
- Homestays
- Work-Study or Work-Travel Programmes
- Backpacker or Budget Accommodation
- GAP Year Programmes and
Projects
- Student Exchanges.
- Insurance Services
- Reference material (directory,
magazine, guidelines) for people considering an overseas experience
- Adventure / Extreme Holidays and/or
Tours aimed at young people
- Visa Services
- Student Tax-Back Organisations
- Employers offering temporary /
vacation employment
This list is not exhaustive and we will
always be willing to consider organisations that are not included, but may be
suited. Just ask and we will be pleased to advise you.
