We have studied all of the components of the internship process, all of the steps required to secure an internship and all of the factors that can influence positively and negatively on an Internship. These variables are then managed for you and that means a hassle-free Internship in a position that gives valuable experience in the field of study. All the big issues and the small details are addressed in advance - from making sure that the Internship is meaningful down to transportation to the job each day. Unlike some Internships, living accommodation is included and arrangements have been made for special cultural programmes and seminars, all prior to arrival.

Each Internship has a minimum monthly stipend of USD400 per month, that can rise to USD750, depending on the type and length of the placement. It is not unusual for Interns to be paid a small bonus upon successful completion, but this is not guaranteed.

It is likely that Interns will share a furnished apartment with other students from other Countries, US cities or US Universities, or be a guest at a local private residence. Most of our Interns are housed in very nice suburban apartment complexes with all of the amenities. These amenities may include tennis courts, swimming pool, exercise equipment and, in some cases, racquetball courts, tanning beds, and video screening rooms. The apartments are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully furnished, which includes cooking utensils, linens, TV, local telephone, cable and air conditioning. Each bedroom has two twin beds. Four students share an apartment. You only need to bring your clothes, toiletries, phone card and favourite belongings. You do not have to be concerned with writing a cheque each month for rent, utilities, telephone, and their associated deposits. Your only responsibility is working and learning! Our US partner takes care of the rest and also manages all the payables: stipends, rent, utilities, and deposits.

IMPORTANT: Although transport to/from the Placement is arranged by the US Office, it is usually the case that the Intern part-purchases a car with other Interns. The individual amount that you should budget for is between US500 and USD750. When the Internship is completed, you will be able to sell the car and receive the proceeds. Drivers and non-drivers are expected to contribute to the vehicle costs. During your telephone interview or when your Placement is identified, you will be informed if it will be necessary to part-purchase a car and this will depend on the location of your Placement and your accommodation. Each person receives a transportation allowance, in addition to the monthly stipend.

REMEMBER - housing is paid for, but you are responsible for food, entertainment and personal expenditure.
